What changes do you want in your life? Maybe it is to reduce stress and increase resilience or possibly change habitual reactivity patterns that damage your relationships or perhaps it is to reduce anxiety or depression? Connect in real-time with others around the country seeking greater balance, ease, and peace of mind. The MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) secular, trauma-sensitive, 8-Week program was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD in 1979 at the UMass Medical Center to optimize one's ability to face stress, pain and illness and make sustainable change across one's lifespan.
Explore how MBSR may support you to:
Live fully with more composure, understanding, enthusiasm, ease, and joy.
Cultivate self-awareness and increase self-confidence.
Develop a healthier approach to self-improvement by bettering our habits, routines, actions, and reactions, which have nothing to do with our inherent worth.
Meet challenges with greater attention and clarity.
Improve focus, cognitive ability, and increase resilience.
Respond rather than react to stress, change habitual reactivity patterns including self-sabotage.
Reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
Improve health, sleep, and feelings of well-being.
Improve relationships, and access your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and others around you.
Tuition Fees: $175.00, $290.00, or $380.00 Suggested sliding scale, "pay what you can" pricing. Please pay more, if you can, to help support those less able to pay. We strongly believe in making this class available to anyone who believes that it might be helpful in their life and is willing to commit themselves to do the work. If $175.00 is not affordable, please contact the instructor to discuss payment arrangements or our scholarship program. A 20% fee reduction is offered to MBSR graduates and to those that have completed the Introduction to Mindfulness Series. Class sizes are limited.
