Change Leaders

Thrive through change and disruption!

Like it or not, change and disruption aren’t going away.  Neither is the pressure on leaders, teams, and employees to quickly respond and adapt to it.  Disruption has become the new norm, leaving many stressed, exhausted and struggling to keep up.

Equip your leaders, teams and employees to better navigate change and disruption by developing measurable and sustainable resilience for a better return on investment (ROI) on your development investment and for more satisfying change outcomes.

Mindful Leaders

Be more effective, bolster creativity, improve self-perception and decrease sickness absence.

Mindfulness changes the structure and function of the brain, improving cognitive performance in concentration, critical thinking, strategic thinking, and decision-making.  But, the most successful and effective leader is no longer the one who had the smartest strategy or the best spreadsheet. It is the leader who can inspire.  It’s not about being perfect, its about being able to support and cultivate human potential.

Leaders and future leaders may want to consider being more mindful and work with other leaders to practice and implement mindfulness practices before employees will buy in.   By being mindful, leaders in turn create buy-in from employees.

By teaching leaders to be more mindful, they can shift to a mindset of focus and awareness on both themselves and the business. Being able to engage in self-reflection and greater empathy for others is going to bear the best results.

Mindfulness develops emotional intelligence (EQ) skills in self-awareness, self-regulation, and interpersonal relationship building.  Understanding and managing emotions can help relieve stress, boost communication, help develop empathy, and resolve conflict.

Companies such as Proctor and Gamble, Aetna, Google, eBay, Apple, General Mills, Comcast, Yahoo, professional athletic teams, the U.S. Military, and many others have implemented mindfulness programs and the participants have reported a positive change in work capacity, stress management, relationships, reduced absenteeism and reduced health costs.

A July 2016 study published by the Society of Occupational Medicine indicated that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) participants reported improved cognitive (self-esteem) and emotional well-being and reported significantly fewer workdays off due to sickness compared to the control group.

"We’re different now. Everybody started coming to me with ideas about how we could be better.”
