Transform your mind, unlock potential, change outcomes, and thrive!
We are committed to helping leaders, employees and community members unlock potential and thrive in an age of disruption by embedding mindfulness, resilience and well-being in their culture. Additionally, we help individuals explore how mindfulness may support living life more fully with greater ease and joy.
Many companies — from Google to General Mills — have started teaching mindfulness in the office. There are simple ways to reduce the impact that workplace stress can have on your mind and body while becoming more effective.
Science-based mindfulness is broadly known to be an effective intervention for health and wellness, and a force multiplier for performance and productivity.
These times are turbulent. Resilience can be developed and sustained in the face of chronic negative stress, constant increasing demands, disruption, complexity and change.
Thrive through change and disruption!
Like it or not, change and disruption aren’t going away. Neither is the pressure on leaders, teams, and employees to quickly respond and adapt to it. Disruption has become the new norm, leaving many stressed, exhausted and struggling to keep up.
Equip your leaders, teams and employees to better navigate change and disruption by developing measurable and sustainable resilience for a better return on investment (ROI) on your development investment and for more successful change outcomes.
Be more effective, bolster creativity, improve self-perception and decrease sickness absence.
Mindfulness changes the structure and function of the brain, improving cognitive performance in concentration, critical thinking, strategic thinking, and decision-making. But, the most successful and effective leader is no longer the one who had the smartest strategy or the best spreadsheet. It is the leader who can inspire. It’s not about being perfect, but to be able to support and cultivate human potential.
Leaders and future leaders will need to be mindful and work with other leaders to practice and implement mindfulness before employees will buy in. By being mindful, leaders in turn encourage diversity and inclusion, bolster creativity, and develop buy-in from employees.
By teaching leaders to be more mindful, they can shift to a mindset of focus and awareness on both themselves and the business. Being able to engage in self-reflection and greater empathy for others is going to bear the best results.
This is an important part of what it means to develop emotional intelligence (EQ). Understanding and managing emotions can help relieve stress, boost communication, help develop empathy, and resolve conflict. Mindfulness develops EQ skills in self-awareness, self-regulation, and interpersonal relationship building.
A July 2016 study published by Society of Occupational Medicine indicated mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) participants reported improved cognitive (self-esteem) and emotional well-being and reported significantly fewer workdays off due to sickness compared to the control group. Advocating for and supporting this form of cost-effective workplace stress management for employees is beneficial.
